Steps to Become a Substitute Teacher
Step 1: Complete the online application
**Must include professional references**
Step 2: IN-PERSON INTERVIEW
Step 3: References contacted
STEP 4: ATTEND an IN-PERSON ORIENTATION. invitation will be emailed.
***ORIENTATION IS ONLY HELD ONCE PER MONTH.
step 5: complete fingerprinting
*** Must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check BEFORE starting employment; (approximately $50.00) paid by applicant. - This will be emailed to you
step 6: complete online training through stedi online. Required for all applicants who are not certified. information will be emailed to you.(approximately $50.00) paid by applicant
Step 7: scheduled onboarding at central office. will need to bring i9 documents and direct deposit.
step 8: begin subbing!!!
