Superintendent

Dr. Scott Caloss brings 31 years of experience in public education from a wide variety of school districts.  He served the previous six and a half years as the superintendent of Wills Point ISD.  Dr. Caloss was Superintendent of Poth Independent School District prior to coming to Wills Point.  He was part of the Poth school district for 11.5 years, eight years as the Junior High Principal and three and a half years as the Superintendent.  Prior to Poth ISD, Dr. Caloss was a math teacher and coach at Jourdanton ISD and later became the Assistant Principal at the Jourdanton High School. He also has experience as a math teacher and coach from his work at the Valley Mills Public Schools, near Waco, and Birdville Independent School District, near Fort Worth. 

Dr. Caloss received his Bachelor’s Degree from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, where he studied physical education and mathematics.  He received his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Texas Women’s University in Denton and his Superintendent’s Certification from The University of Texas in San Antonio.  Dr. Caloss received his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from The University of Texas in Austin.

Dr. Caloss has been married for 31 years to Adrian Caloss, who is a retired teacher.  He has a son, Jacob, who works for Loftin Equipment Co., and a daughter, Madison, who is currently attending physical therapy school at New York University.
