Election Information
The Medina Valley ISD Board of Trustees consists of seven members, two elected at large and five elected from single-member districts, serving terms of three years, with elections held annually. The terms of one-third of the Board members, or as near to one-third as possible, expire each year. [Education Code 11.051(b), .052, .059] School Board elections for the District are on the May uniform election date.
The Medina Valley Independent School District will hold an Election on Saturday, May 4, 2024. Single Member District #1, and Single Member District #2 Board Members will be on the ballot to serve three-year terms.
The filing period for a place on the General Election ballot begins on January 17, 2024 and ends on February 16, 2024 at 5 pm. Candidates may file at the District’s main office, 8449 FM 471 South, Castroville, TX 78009, normal business hours are Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 4:30 pm with the exception of February 16th (extended to 5 pm). The last day to file a Declaration of Write-In Candidacy is February 20, 2024.
