Concerns and Complaints - Students and Parents

The Medina Valley ISD Board of Trustees encourages students and parents to discuss their concerns and complaints through informal conferences with the appropriate teacher, principal, or other campus administrator. Concerns should be expressed as soon as possible to allow early resolution at the lowest possible administrative level. If the informal conferences fail to reach the outcome requested by the student/parent, they may choose to initiate the District's formal complaint process.

All complaints/grievances are governed by law and Board policy. The two Board policies that apply to parent/student complaints or grievances are FNG (Legal) and FNG (Local). FNG (Local) lists additional Board Policies that may apply to the student/parent complaint.  Please read the applicable policies carefully.

Procedures and deadlines related to the district’s formal complaint process are outlined in Board Policy FNG (Local).

You may request a phone call meeting or an in-person meeting to address your concerns by sending an email directly to the teacher, other campus administrator, or by calling the campus at 830-931-2243.

Grievance forms may be submitted by email to [email protected], fax 210-941-0456, in person at the MVISD Central Office located at 8449 FM 471 S., Castroville, TX, or by U.S. Mail to 8449 FM 471 S., Castroville, TX  78009.
