Employee of the month, March 2023
Loma Alta Middle School Math Specialist Maricela Rodriguez

One of Math Specialist Maricela Rodriguez's favorite parts of her job is creating fun, hands-on math activities.

"Being able to create fun ways to get them engaged so they don't always remember they're doing math because we're adding things like dice or cards or tumbling blocks" she said. "I truly want to get kids to feel more confident; not only in math, but in themselves."

Rodriguez, who works at Loma Alta Middle School, also works with teachers who may have questions on the math curriculum or need suggestions on how to teach various skills.
