Dear MVISD Family,
We have a great deal to celebrate in the district. I’d like to congratulate the following staff and students for recognition that they have earned over the past few weeks.
First, congratulations to Castroville Elementary teacher Lynli Jones on being named the KENS 5 EXCEL Award winner, and to MVHS student Aya Kasim on being named the KENS 5 All-Star Student. Also, congratulations to our Employee of the Month, John Paul Pimentel.
Our tennis team is both district champions and bi-district champions. The Varsity Girls, JV Girls, and JV Boys all won the district cross-country championship, with the Varsity Boys team earning the district runner-up spot. Our Panther Band competed at regional marching on Saturday, earning a Superior Rating with straight 1’s. Volleyball and football continue to be in playoff contention. Congratulations to all of you!
I can’t thank all of you enough for your hard work and dedication to our students. Enjoy your three day weekend.
Sincerely, Dr. Rohrbach
