Pre-K Requirements

*** MVISD does NOT offer a Pre-K program for 3 year-olds. To be eligible for Pre-Kindergarten in the 2023-2024 school year, the student must be 4 years old by September 1, 2023 and meet one of the qualifiers listed below.***

 Pre-K Qualifier Documents Needed
Food Stamps, TANF, State Medicaid program or SSI Benefits Please provide CURRENT eligibility letter.
Unable to speak and comprehend the English language Will be tested by MVISD staff.
The child of an Active Duty member of the Armed Forces of the United States, including the State Military Forces or a Reserve Component of the Armed Forces, who is ordered to Active Duty by proper authority Proper Military ID for verification.
The child of a member of the Armed Forces of the United States, including the State Military Forces or a reserve component of the Armed Forces, who was injured or killed while serving on Active Duty.
  • Department of Veterans Affairs Documentation (Mentions disability percentage)
  • Copy of the DD214
In, or have been in, the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) following an adversary hearing held as provided by Section 262.201, Family Code Proper CPS paperwork
The child of a person eligible for the Star of Texas Award as a peace officer (3106.002, firefighter (3106.003), or emergency medical first responder  
Household income (ALL working persons living in the home)
  • One month's worth of check stubs. i.e. - If completing registration process in April, provide pay stubs for the entire month of March.  
  • If self-employed, previous year's income tax return documenting all 1099s is the only acceptable documentation.

If your student was previously enrolled at Medina Valley ISD and is being re-enrolled, you must first call your campus to determine what your next steps will be.

If you need to withdraw a student from school, you do not need to schedule an appointment.
