Mrs. Emily Lorenz

Mrs. Emily Lorenz proudly serves as the Superintendent of Medina Valley Independent School District. She joined the district in June 2026, bringing more than 20 years of experience in public education and a strong commitment to student success. Mrs. Lorenz is dedicated to building on Medina Valley ISD’s tradition of excellence while fostering strong partnerships with students, staff, families, and the community.

 

Prior to joining Medina Valley ISD, Mrs. Lorenz served as Superintendent of Calallen ISD beginning in 2022. Throughout her career, she has held a variety of leadership roles, including Assistant Superintendent, Director of Curriculum, and Educational Specialist at Region 20, where she supported school districts across the region in strengthening instructional practices and advancing district initiatives.

 

Known for her collaborative leadership style and commitment to organizational excellence, Mrs. Lorenz has built a reputation for developing strong teams, supporting student achievement, and creating systems that help both students and staff succeed. Her experience in curriculum and instruction, personnel management, and district operations provides a strong foundation for leading Medina Valley ISD during a time of continued growth and opportunity.

 

Mrs. Lorenz is passionate about building meaningful relationships with students, staff, families, and community members. She believes that strong partnerships are essential to student success and is committed to working alongside stakeholders to build on Medina Valley ISD’s strong foundation while preparing for the future.
