High School Attendance Zones - 2026-2027

As our district continues to grow, we’re looking ahead to the opening of Creek View High School in Fall 2026. This second high school will help balance enrollment, giving students the space and support they need to thrive—both in and out of the classroom.

In preparation for the opening of the campus, we have finalized high school attendance zones that will go into effect beginning with the 2026–2027 school year.

Under the new high school attendance zones:

  • Students that live in the Loma Alta Middle School attendance zone will also be zoned to Creek View High School.

  • Students that live in the Medina Valley Middle School attendance zone will also be zoned to Medina Valley High School.

To clarify, all students will remain at Medina Valley High School for the 2025–2026 school year. Our High School attendance zones will not go into effect until the following school year, 2026-2027.

When Creek View High School opens, it will welcome students in grades 9, 10, and 11, and it will offer a full range of academic and extracurricular programs—including UIL varsity athletics, fine arts, and more. The Class of 2027 will complete their senior year at Medina Valley High School, and transportation will be provided for those students.

We also understand that some students may wish to remain at Medina Valley High School due to their involvement in academic programs, extracurricular activities, or other special circumstances. In situations like these, when a new high school opens students may be eligible for a one-time “grandfather request” that allows them to stay at their current campus—even if they are rezoned. If your child qualifies, we’ll reach out to you directly with details on how to apply and what to expect.

Thank you for your continued support as we grow together and prepare for this exciting new chapter for MVISD.
