Medina Valley ISD names Laura Davila as the new principal of Ladera Elementary

(MEDINA VALLEY ISD – March 27, 2024) — The Medina Valley ISD Board of Trustees this week appointed Laura Davila as the new principal of Ladera Elementary.

Davila comes to the district with more than 20 years of experience in education. She most recently served as an elementary principal in Tuloso-Midway ISD, and has previously served as a dean of elementary instruction, assistant principal and bilingual teacher.

“I am honored to join Medina Valley ISD as principal of Ladera Elementary,” said Davila. “I am eager to collaborate with our families, staff and the community to create the best learning experience for our students.”

Although Davila will officially begin in her new role this summer, she is getting ready to meet with campus families and staff at a Meet and Greet on April 11 at 6 p.m.

"We want to ensure that this transition is smooth and seamless for our Ladera Elementary families and staff, and we are excited for the continued success that we’re confident Ms. Davila’s leadership will bring," Superintendent Dr. Scott Caloss said.
