(MEDINA VALLEY ISD, November 28, 2023) — Castroville Elementary fifth grade choir students and their choir director were recognized Monday at the November Board Meeting.
Before being recognized, the students helped fill the Medina Valley ISD Board of Trustees and audience with thejoy of the season, performing a rendition of "Holly Jolly Christmas." The students then received Star Student Awards and their Choir Director Ms. Almetra “Joy” Hudspeth received the Above and Beyond Award.
"Ms. Joy Hudspeth spends countless hours working with her students and ensuring that they not only succeed, but they truly believe in themselves," said Castroville Elementary Interim Principal Gerri Butler. 'During the school day, the melodies pouring out of her class are bound to make you smile. Students cannot wait for music class!"
