The Medina Valley High School Open Division CyberPatriot team secured fourth place among 23 Texas teams at the National Semifinals Gold Division.
At the competition, the CyberPatriot team was tasked with working on a small company network, checking for cybersecurity vulnerabilities and hardening the system while maintaining critical services. Students had six hours to complete the tasks.
Freshman Isabella Escobar, who showcased her skills in the Cisco component, achieved an impressive national ranking of 22nd out of 204 competitors, as well as securing the second spot among Texas competitors.
