Girls Go CyberStart Competition - MVHS #1 in Participation Rate

For the second year in a row, MVHS is the #1 school in Texas *with the most girls registered (who have engaged in at least one challenge) * in the SANS Institute's Girls Go CyberStart competition. MVHS had 165 girls register and 149 complete at least one challenge and has been awarded a $1000 prize for this accomplishment. Additionally, the school received 50 registration codes for the boys to play the game as well. The fun, interactive game teaches skills in cryptography, digital forensics, coding. and more.

From April 22-June 28 the girls are engaging the in Game phase of the competition. During this time they work on accruing enough points to qualify for the national competition taking place online June 5-7. Additionally, the top 10 scoring girls (Jrs and Srs) in Texas will receive a $500 scholarship.
