MVHS Business Professionals Headed to Nationals

Twenty-five state qualifiers from Medina Valley High School attended the Business Professionals of America (BPA) State Leadership Conference in Dallas, March 6-9. They joined over 4,000 other students from across the state to compete in a variety of individual and team events, in the following categories: Management Information Systems; Digital Communication & Design; Management, Marketing & Communication; Finance; and Business Administration. Four students qualified to compete at the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, CA, May 1-5.

Qualifying for nationals was the 1st Place Administrative Support Team consisting of Sara Hecker, Katie Tondre, Allie Tschirhart and Eileen Zinsmeyer. Also qualifying in her individual event was Sara Hecker who placed 4th in Integrated Office Applications.

Recognized as national alternates were Arianna Suniga who placed 6th in Integrated Office Applications and Allyssa Thoele who placed 7th in Advanced Word Processing.

Winners in open events were Eileen Zinsmeister who placed 3rd in Parliamentary Procedure Concepts and Megan Gallegos who placed 6th in Digital Communication & Design Concepts.

Also competing were Megan Barton, Kendra Cadena, Christian Collins, MaKenzee DeCock, Devin DeLaFuente, Taylor Hutchins, Ashleigh Jackel, Malorri James, Dorian Keller, Faith Martinez, Kayla Masters, Brayden McHazlett, Tyler Oberhauser, Savannah Persyn, Emma Smith, Evan Smith, Lauren Sprauer, and Amy Zinsmeister.
