Medina Valley FFA Kicks Off the Year

FFA has started on a new year which means new Greenhands (students in their first year of an ag class).  The Medina Valley FFA officer team hosted their annual Chapter Greenhand Camp on September 5.  There was a record turnout of approximately 35 Greenhands!  The officer team worked hard and came up with fun games to teach the Greenhands about patience, time management, communication, and team work. On September 12 Greenhands went to the Revaldina District Greenhand Camp along with Garrison Garza, the district’s president.  The theme was “Ohana means Family”.  On September 22 Savanna Persyn, Kendra Allen, Isahbella Flores and Blaze Brown represented Medina Valley by attending the Area VII Greenhand Camp as well as Garrison Garza to help out the Area officers.

The Greenhands got a visit from the State President and First Vice President on September 11 and played a game about challenging yourself.

On September 10 Medina Valley kicked off the year with their first FFA meeting, where they discussed upcoming events and fundraisers.

Medina Valley is preparing for their LDE contests with district and area competitions approaching in November.  Good luck to all teams!
