The girls traveled to San Antonio last night to take on Sam Houston in the Bi-District playoff. The girls were determined and came out on fire in the 1st quarter. After a 2nd quarter that saw the Hurricanes claw back into the game the Panthers turned it on in the 2nd half with intense defense and hot shooting. The girls pulled away winning 64-41 to claim the Bi-District title. Leading the way for the Panthers was Ileana Morales with 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists. Playing her best game of the season was sharp shooter Katie Burris who finished the night with 11 points including 3 3-pointers. She also led the team in rebounds with 9. Kaylyn Persyn was all over the court with 14 points and 6 rebounds. The girls improve their overall record to 24-3 and look to continue their playoff push next week as they wait on the winner of Georgetown and San Antonio Veterans Memorial. Go Panthers!
