MVHS Volleyball V Seguin & Judson

The Varsity Volleyball team started off strong Friday night and never
looked back. The began the night by defeating Seguin in three straight
sets 25-13; 25-9; 28-18. Then followed that with another sound performance
beating Judson in straight sets as well. 25-17; 25-21; 25-16.

Stats leaders for both games combined were:
Kills: Kyla Solis-17, Spencer McCool -12
Assists: Cat Cochran 30, Madison Sotelo-11
Digs: Sam Estrada-15; Allyssa Thoele-13
Aces: Kyle Solis-7; Spencer McCool, Cat Cochran and Allyssa Thoele-4
Blocks: Kyla Solis-6; Haylee Hurtado-5; Madison Haby-4

The JV volleyball team had a successful Friday night with two wins in our
home doubleheader against Seguin and Judson. After having scrimmage Seguin
last weekend, we were determined to establish our dominance over the Lady
Matadors with a solid win and did so in two sets with the scores of 25-13,

The second match was a continuation of success as we played aggressively to
beat Judson in two sets with the scores of 25-21, 25-20.

Stat leaders for the night are as follows: Rosalie Hernandez led the team
with 7 kills followed by Brailey Bartlett and Toni Holzhuas with 5 kills
each. Marie Villareal led the team with 4 aces and Karli Clark led the team
with 3 blocks

Freshman Panther volleyball took back their season on Friday night with
dual match wins over Seguin and Judson High School, ending both games in
two sets. Leading the way for the freshman team on Friday was Danielle Reza
with a total of three aces, five kills, and two assists; As well as Makayla
Lightsey with two aces, and three kills.
