MVHS Volleyball @ La Vernia

On Tuesday night the Varsity Volleyball Team traveled to La Vernia to finally open up their long awaited season. After coming up short against La Vernia, the panthers realized they needed to shake off the cobwebs and figure out how to compete again. Luckily, they had another opportunity that night and faced off against Incarnate Word. The Panthers fought hard and beat them in 3 sets.

*Leading the Panthers in KILLS for the evening was Spencer McCool with 17 and Kyla Solis with 12.
*Cat Cochran contributed 25 assists for the night and Madison Sotelo pitched in     13 assists.
*Allyssa Thoele led the team in digs with 15 and Spencer McCool added 12.
*Kyla Solis and Kylie Mutz had 3 blocks each.

The Panthers have another dual Friday night at Medina Valley against Judson and Sequin. Please come out and support our girls or watch the live stream.

Jv volleyball split their opening double header with a loss to La Vernia 9-25, 14-25.
We had a rocky start for our first game and had difficulty connecting with the ball for offense. We finished the night with a win against Incarnate Word High School 25-19,23-25, 25-23. We connected with the ball on offense and rallied Together to clinch the win during a close game. We’re very excited to keep improving and compete again on Friday!

Freshman Panther volleyball took the court for the first time this season on Tuesday with a difficult double header loss to La Vernia High School and Incarnate Word High School. While falling short, Panthers front row players, including Danielle Reza, Mckenzee Kennedy, and Zoe Seldon, are gearing up for a winning season. Defensive Specialist, Tannith Chappie, led the team in digs while  Setter, Lexi Tedford, led the team in aces.
