Freshman Baseball V D'Hanis

Saturday the freshman Panthers took on the D’Hanis Cowboys. In the first game Nick Rash got the start on the bump and pitched 3 innings following relief by DJ McCulley. The Cowboy offense was able to score 9 runs against the Panthers while the Panthers were only able to scratch out 5. The Panthers offense just wasn’t able to get enough going. The offensive leaders include DJ McCulley, Ace Anderson, Garrett Nabors, and Trey Kauffman who all recorded hits. In the second game the the ending was a lot more positive. Thomas Pardo got the start and pitched a complete game racking up 14 strike outs and only allowing 1 hit. The Panthers bats came alive in the second game with Ace Andersonand Bobby Peterson leading the charge, both who recorded 2 hits each. DJ McCulley and Trey Kauffman also we’re able to record hits. The Panthers would go on to win 8-0. The Panthers will face Holy Cross Tuesday April 16th.
