Dear Parents/Guardians of Medina Valley Middle School,
In an effort to ensure the safety/protection of our students and quick/efficient pick-up for parents/guardians, we are revising our procedures for vehicle pick-up students:
You will receive two placards with your student’s name on it. Please place this on the right side of your dashboard (use the other placard for your other vehicle).
A campus employee will call your student’s name by radio so he/she will come quickly to your vehicle.
Vehicles shall enter onto BOTH pick-up lanes from Hwy 471.
The RIGHT LANE vehicles will proceed forward and stop at the front door/gate of building 100 (Front Office).
Vehicles in the LEFT LANE shall stop at the crosswalk (traffic cones).
After approximately five minutes, the crosswalk cones will be removed and BOTH LANES will proceed forward.
The MVMS SRO will direct the traffic and monitor unsafe drivers.
Students are only permitted to leave the fenced area to meet parents in the parking area from the monitored crosswalk when summoned by a staff member.
These procedures will begin effective 9-19-2018. Placards will be issued to parents/guardians on 9-18-2018 at vehicle pick-up.
The Federal Programs & Grants Dept. would like to thank everyone who came to the 2018 Annual District Wide Parent & Family Engagement Meeting. Pizza w/Parents was a success, thanks to everyone who helped out & to our sponsors for their contributions!
