• Parent Survey

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) and Region 9 Education Service Center are conducting their semi-annual survey of parents of children receiving Special Education services to learn more about how school districts are involving parents in their child's education.  Your responses will provide key information to MVISD to help us improve our Family-School partnership in Special Education.

A sample of MVISD families, roughly 200, will be asked to complete this short survey. Your comments will be kept completely confidential. The final results will be distributed in late summer. Please contact your school's social worker or the Special Programs department with any concerns.

  • Why should I take this survey?

    Posted by:

You should take this survey if you have a child receiving special education services to ensure that your voice is heard! Results can be used by schools and districts to guide important improvements to special education services and parent engagement. If you have more than one child receiving special education services, you should complete a survey only for the child that was selected and sent home with the Parent Involvement survey.

  • Why do my responses matter?

You have a chance to tell your district and the state how important parent involvement is to children’s success in school. If you do not participate, you miss this chance to have your voice heard.
