About the teacher:

Greetings! I am thrilled to be joining the MVMS family and looking forward to working with your students this year. Language Arts education is my passion. I have a profound love for the written word and the power it brings to all aspects of life. It is my deep desire to impart some of my love for reading and writing upon your children and help prepare them for future success in ELAR.

I was born and raised in Austin, TX and graduated from Crockett High School. My family is native to central Texas making me a 6th generation Texan! In 2000, my family and I moved to New Braunfels. Several years later, I met and married my husband. We welcomed a daughter just one year after our marriage and she continues to bring us great joy! We moved to Medina County in 2007 and have thouroughly enjoyed the close knit community and all it has to offer. We love this community so much that in 2016 we opened up a restaurant! It has been a labor of love that has allowed us to further connect with Castroville and its wonderful citizens.

This is my first year teaching in Medina Valley and I look forward to many wonderful years with MVISD. I welcome you to contact me at anytime if you have questions or wish to communicate with me regarding your child. My goal is to provide your child with a safe, engaging, and truly beneficial learning environment.

You may reach me directly during my 1st perid conference between 8:10am and 8:59am or email me at veronicad.herrera@mvisd.
