Community Bond Advisory Committee

Here at Medina Valley, the number of students that we serve is growing at a rapid pace. We are the fastest-growing school district in our Region, with a 14% growth rate last school year. That exponential growth rate also places us amongst the fastest-growing school districts in the State. Over the last year, we have added more than 1,000 students, which is unprecedented growth for MVISD.

The District works closely with a Demographer who helps to track, monitor, and project the growth in our area. When comparing the anticipated growth with the capacity of our current buildings, MVISD will need additional campuses to be able to accommodate all of our current and future students. The process for school districts to acquire the funding needed to build additional campuses is through a bond election. Medina Valley ISD has a Community Bond Advisory Committee composed of 30+ community members that met regularly throughout the past months to put together a bond proposal that was presented to the school board.
