Mrs. Beth Zinsmeyer was elected to the board to represent District 2 in May of 2015. She is a registered nurse for the Methodist Healthcare System. She is a 1991 graduate of John Marshall High School in San Antonio and a 1997 graduate of The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She has experience as a post-anesthesia care nurse and as an assistant nurse manager, managing 20-30 employees for the Methodist Children’s Hospital in San Antonio. Beth also has experience as a school nurse, working for the Northside Independent School District in that capacity for five years. Additionally, for the last eight years she has assisted her husband, Alan (MV Graduate), in managing two farming operations in the Medina Valley area. Beth married Alan Zinsmeyer in 1999. Their daughter Abby is a 2020 MVISD graduate and their son Charlie is an 8th grader at Medina Valley Middle School. Beth is a member of the Medina County Committee for the USDA Farm Service Agency, serving the farming community for the past 9 years. She also volunteers for the Castroville 4-H club both as club manager and Shooting Sports coach and participates in the Medina County Stock Show. During her tenure as a trustee, Mrs. Zinsmeyer has served on numerous committees, and currently is a member of the Board Finance Committee. She is committed to serving the community and the students of Medina Valley Independent School District.
