Welcome to MVISD's Assessment Department! This department is responsible for implementing and executing the coordination of all state assessments in an effective, efficient, and confidential manner. Mrs. Ayala is the MVISD District Assessment Coordinator. She provides support, information, and technical assistance to across the district and is a part of the Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment Department.
State Assessments supported through this office are: STAAR, STAAR Alternate 2 and TELPAS.
STAAR
The State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) program includes STAAR (grades 3-8 and end-of course) and STAAR Spanish (grades 3-5). All grades/subjects and courses of STAAR (English only) can be administered on paper or online with or without embedded supports. STAAR is an assessment designed to measure the extent to which students have learned and are able to apply the knowledge and skills defined in the state-mandated curriculum, the TEKS.STAAR Alternate 2
STAAR Alternate 2 is an assessment based on alternate academic achievement standards and is designed for students with significant cognitive disabilities receiving special education services. STAAR Alternate 2 is administered in the same grades/subjects and courses as STAAR.TELPAS
TELPAS assesses the progress that ELLs in K-12 make in acquiring the English language in the domains of listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

You can now access your child's state testing scores and history through Skyward Family Access! See the "How To Acess Scores" document for directions on how to do this. Feel free to call ext 1245, if you need any help in doing so.

Hello Parents!
You can access your child's STAAR/EOC performance information will be available through the Texas Assessment Management System.
You can access your child's results and a suite of other resources to support summer learning by loggining into the Student Portal.
To Access your child's scores via the student portal, you will need to input your child's first name, PEIMS ID (which is their social security number), and date-of-birth.
Feel free to contact your child's school or the district assessment department if you would like help accessing your child's results.

This guide provides parents with a general overview of the designated supports that are available for use on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) and the Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS).
