The city of Castroville recently put The VICA Club to the test to make twenty-seven tables which are going to be placed at the RV homes section of Regional Park. The city provided all of the supplies needed for the strdents to work with and for each table completed a donation was given to the school;The students that helped were Ricky Esparza, Adam Johnson, Daniel Solis, Frank Bemain, Eric Mercado, and Norman Terrill. As of right now the club is working on 5 picnic tables for The American Allegions. On April 8-10, The junior and senior club members recently went on a field trip at the Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), which is located at 9350 South Presa, San Antonio, TX, 78223. The purpose of this trip was to intorduce South Texas High School Junior and Senior students to rewarding careers in the highway construction technology industry. Here students were able to operate huge machinery like the ones in these photos.
