During the
current year, Skills USA has been involved in different
community activities, among which school, fund raising and
charity activities can be found. We have a full agenda for the
rest of the year and we hope that with the collaboration of each
one of the members, as well as the school staff, we can make
this year a great success.
Skills USA
Members escorted the parents around the campus from room to room
or gave them directions, as well as answer any questions the
parents might have.
A group of
Skills USA members are training to become First-Aid and CPR
certified to compete at the regional and state level, and not
only are preparing for competition but they are learning a great
life skill that may one day be put to practice and save a life.
For the last
month, during our Thursday meetings, the members of our club
have been working on fixing used bikes so they can be given to
less fortunate children during the Christmas Holidays, and by
doing so, sharing happiness with those in need.
The Skills USA
Parent Booster Club organized a food booth at the Grand Opening
for the Tractor Supply in Castroville and along with it they
organized a raffle that will take place on December 1, 2007 at
the Old Fashioned Christmas event in Castroville’s Houston
Square.
