On December 13, 2007 Col. Dennis LeVan, Master Sergeant Harwell, and the Vice-Principal of John Jay High School presented our TX-20009th AFJROTC Drill Teams, the Blackhawks and Blue Angels,
the Mustang Spirit Award from their annual Mustang Classic Drill Meet held on December 8th. “It was an honor to have such an award presented to you knowing that it took the determination of all of our members to earn this prestigious award” stated the Blue Angels Commander, cadet Second Lieutenant Reneah DeWinne. The criteria to earn the Spirit Award are to grab the Training Instructors (Judges) attention with your team’s spirit, good sportsmanship, and overall impression on the judges and other school officials. In addition to the distinguished staff from John Jay High School being present, Medina Valley High School Principal Mr. Toby Tyler and Vice-Principal Mrs. Theresa Haby were present to share in the victory of our teams. “It was very touching and exciting to know that these two elite teams from our High School went out and did their best and gave it their all and to

We hope to be as successful if not more at Marshall as we were at The Mustang Classic.
