| The cadets of the Military Ball court. |
| Each year cadets look forward to the military ball as the main event of the year and this was no exception. Over 80
cadets showed up to the ball with their guests and families. On December 22, 2007 the ball was held at Mitchell Hall
on Lackland AFB. The opening ceremony began with the officers of the corps walking under a saber arch accompanied by their date for the evening. This was followed by the Table of Honor which honors those fallen in the line of duty. Commanded by Jesse Acevedo, the table of honor was performed by Chris Lizaso, Ramero Esparza, Emilio Luna, Emanuel Henao, and James Rehak. The ball also had special guests, including Principal Toby Tyler, Vice-Principal Theresa Haby, and A1C Blake Broekhove, the former Fall Commander of
the 2006-2007 school year. Major Luis Anteguera, the Senior Aerospace Science Instructor from Southside High School, the keynote address. It was his first time to a Military Ball hosted
by the TX-20009th, and said it was the best ball he had ever been to. The main event of the evening the Military Ball court shortly followed
Anteguera's speech. The court for the 2007-2008 school year are as follows: The Baron and Baroness was Michael Rymers and Cassidy Sargent. The Duke and Dutchess
was Saul Ramirez and Toni Lindsay. The Prince and Princess was Ramero Esparza and Meredal Ababa. The King and Queen was Jesse Acevado and Elda Ramirez. After
the court, MSgt (RET) John D. Bean announced that he would be leaving Medina Valley and moving back to Arkansas. Sergeant Bean wished the corps luck in the coming school year.
