Serving Castroville, LaCoste, Rio Medina, Mico, Lytle, Hondo, Quihi, D'Hanis, Devine, Natalia, and Yancey

Welcome to the Fall 2005 Session of the Medina Valley Community Education Program! We are now officially 1 year old and to date have served well over 450 adults and children from Castroville and our surrounding communities.

Our program, which continues to be self-funding, would not be possible without the continued support of our community and the following folks that have worked with us diligently "behind the scenes": Dr. Deborah Queen, Library Director, City of Castroville, for her unwavering support; Mr. Steven Merchant, for publishing the quarterly catalog; Mrs. Martha Ortiz of MArgO Web Publishing and Graphic Design Services for her cover design and web site development; Mrs. Evelyn Jones, for her assistance with the May Day Festival; and all of our current and former teachers who have provided many wonderful courses for us.

We continue, as always to work hard on improving our program. As such, we have added a special "Community Education Partners" section at the bottom of each page of our catalog, which will allow organizations, individuals or businesses to advertise in our catalog. These partnerships will assist with the costs of distributing the catalog to over 20,000 households in Medina County and surrounding areas. If you are interested in advertising in our catalog, please call our office for further information.

We will also be forming a "Community Education Advisory Committee" this fall, in order to help our program continue to grow, gain insights into what classes we need to be offering and any other areas that will help us to improve. If you are interested in being a member of our Advisory Committee, please contact our office.

Please join us for our Fall Open House that will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2005, from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm at the Community Education Building.

If you are interested in sharing your knowledge and/or experience by teaching a class or hosting a seminar for us, please contact:
