Mr. Richard Jackson,
Even Start Director
Through my years of experience as an educator, I have grown to
firmly believe that every child and adult is entitled to the right
to be provided a challenging educational experience. Students
come to us in all shapes and sizes. We have a profound duty to
provide an environment that is free from fear, challenges the
mind, and meets all of their educational needs. We're only as
successful as our students are. Success is when our students are
able to think independently, act rationally, and are able to continue
to be life long learners.

Mrs. Lynda Balcarcel,
Early Childhood Reading Coordinator
I believe that education is a lifelong process. We learn from
our families and environment all throughout our experience with
formal education. I believe my role as an educator is to provide
a rich, warm, and stimulating environment for children to learn
in. Providing experiences, materials, and ideas to families
of my students is as important as what goes on in the classroom.
Community involvement is also critical as the goal of all education
is to produce happy and productive members of the community.

Ms. Rubi Santos, Parent Educator
It is essential that all parents realize they are the first teachers
of their children. Children are our future but their education starts
now. When parents and children are partners in education of their
children, children are successful. So it is our mission to support
and work with each parent so they can be actively involved in the
education of their children.

Ms. Trich Sauceda, Even Start Secretary
My educational philosophy is quite simple - I believe that
as human beings we are all educators and or teachers. All though
as individuals, we may or may not have degrees or a background
in education, we do radiate our beliefs, biases and opinions
onto the young minds and even the more mature minds that we
come in contact with on a daily basis. Whether we are educators
in the classroom or in the society at large, each of us needs
to realize that our actions and words are the lessons that we
are teaching to our students.
