District Goals

MVISD strategic goals 2001-2006

 

  1. Provide a comprehensive curriculum and instructional program with high standards (PreK-12) which enables all students to achieve exemplary perfomance.

  2. Empower families, community members, and the business community to become full partners in the education of all children.

  3. Provide safe, adequate, attractive, comfortable, and functional facilities.

  4. Recruit and retain certified, qualified, and highly effective personnel and provide quality staff development designed to enhance teaching and learning.

  5. Improve, expand, and utilize state of the art technology throughout the district to increase the effectiveness of student learning, instructional management, staff development and administration.

  6. Reward and reinforce positive behavior while maintaining a safe and appropriate environment in which everone is held responsible and accountable for his/her choices and actions.

Mission Statement

Medina Valley Independent School District will challenge its students with an educational environment designed to inspire excellence, promote creative thought, achieve maximum potential, and instill responsible behavior and attitudes.

Vision Statements

Medina Valley ISD
  • Maximize opportunities for students to be exposed to and pursue a variety of academic, career, and extra/co-curricular activities.
  • Quality staff are engaged in self-improvement and in constantly updating knowledge and skills to address the needs of the students.
  • Collaboration exists between school, home, and community in establishing high standards of expectations in the areas of academics, conduct, and ethics.
  • Every employee is a caring compassionate, responsible educator who is committed to student success.
  • Our students are provided with a safe and orderly learning environment in which students are free to explore, experience, and enjoy diverse educational opportunities and resources.
